Mr. Alberto Posso is Professor of Economics and Head of Department at Griffith University's Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics in Brisbane, Australia. Alberto has a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University (ANU) with specialisations in international development and applied econometrics. Geographically, his research focuses on East Asia, Latin America and the Pacific. He has authored over fifty journal papers, book chapters, thought pieces for general consumption, and sponsored research reports. I have publications in leading academic outlets, such as Heath Economics, World Development, and The Journal of Development Studies. I've also authored sponsored research projects with leading partners, including UN ESCAP, the UN Global Compact, FAO, the Fred Hollows Foundation, Plan International, Oxfam Australia, the APEC Secretariat, the Australian Government, and the Peruvian Government.
